Yorkshire Building Society's Saturday Market branch in Beverley will help people use its website and app free, every Tuesday, 10am to 3.30pm, from 6 October.

Staff at Yorkshire Building Society’s branch on Saturday Market in Beverley will spend every Tuesday from 6 October helping people get to grips with online and app banking, for free.

The sessions run from 10am to 3.30pm each Tuesday. The society says they are for customers of all ages and abilities, and are meant to build people’s confidence with its website and app. The team will also talk through any worries people have about managing their money online.

What the branch says

Deborah Dewhirst, the branch manager, said the sessions were aimed at the society’s members:

“We’re running these digital-focused events to support our members in feeling more confident about using online or app-based banking to manage their accounts with us.

“We understand that navigating the internet can be challenging for some, so we hope these free, in-person sessions will give people the reassurance and skills they need to use online services alongside the support they receive in our branches.

“This is a great chance for members to learn how to set up online accounts safely and simply, and to discuss any questions or concerns they may have about managing their money digitally.”
